Otros encargos Skaven

Hey guys!

Pues de nuevo os traigo otros encargos de la misma persona que me pidió los otros dos.

Again some more comissions from the same person who asked for the two before.

Lo primero es una "Skaven Plague Foundry", una máquina de asedio de los Skaven. Fue complicada hacerla debido a que estaba montada, por suerte el "incensiario" estaba mal pegado y pude desmontarlo para pintar mas fácilmente. Mucho marrón, muchos óxidos y algún intento de OSL y degradado en las llamas mágicas:

First a Skaven Plague Foundry, a siege weapon from the Skavens. Kinda hard to paint since it was already glued, luckily the "incensary" was not fully glued so I could put it out to paint it better. Lots of browns, lots of rust and some OSL and feathering for the magical fires:

Lo siguiente es el Skaven que va delante de la máquina, tenía uno de sobra y quiso que lo pintara como si fuera un líder suelto. Mayormente lo hice igual que el otro pero con mas detalle al tener mejor acceso a la mini y con la capucha en negro ya que su ejército va así al parecer:

Next up the Skaven that goes in front of the machine, he had a spare one and wanted to paint it as a solo leader. Mostly done the same way as the other one but has more detail since I have better access to it and the hood is black since his army has black hoods aparently:

Y por último una miniatura mas que tenía, una mini antigua, Queek el coleccionista de cabezas. Divertido de hacer, pude pintar en rojo muchas partes cosa que no es habitual en mis minis. También mucho óxido como en la máquina pero bastante divertida. A diferencia de GW no hice los huesos blancos sino un color mas natural y las cabezas y manos las hice mas enfermas y podres en vez de color piel normal:

And last but not least another mini he had, an old mini, Queek the Headtaker. Fun to paint, I could use a lot of red wich is not usual on my minis. Also lots of rust like on the machine but really fun. I didn't paint the bones white like GW, I made them in a more natural color and also the heads I did more ill and dead rather than making them normal skin:

La verdad me gustaron mucho en general, un buen encargo y divertido, siempre quise pintar Skavens así que no tengo queja. Para la próxima entrada ya pondré algo mio, tengo un nuevo proyecto de Battletech y una banda nueva para Frostgrave (que aunque un par de minis ya son de otra de las que hice el resto son nuevas) pero aun no la pinté así que me pondré a ello.

So I really liked them, a good and fun comission, always wanted to paint some Skavens so I won't complain. Next time I'll upload something mine, I've got another Battletech proyect and a new warband for Frostgrave (that even though I used some of the old minis, the rest are ne) but they are unpainted so I will start painting them.

Mis dos primeras comisiones de pintado

Pues hoy lo que traigo es las dos primeras comisiones que me han pedido como pintor. La verdad me ha encantado que me hayan pedido algo por fin, tuve un par de intentonas en el pasado pero uno simplemente no me volvió a contestar y el otro encontró alguien con mas calidad de pintado que yo (y considerando que era para una gama de miniaturas necesitaba priorizar calidad en vez de precio).

Today I bring you my first two commisions as a painter. To be honest I love that finally someone asked me to do something, I've had two people ask but one simply didn't answer back and the other one found a much better painter than me (and considering it was for a miniature seller he had to prioritice quality and not price).

Lo que me han pedido fue primero un señor de la transformación de Tzeench:

First off, a Tzeench's lord of change:

Fue un tanto reto de hacer la verdad. La piel no quedé totalmente contento con ella pero el resto me gusto mucho. El que me lo encargo me pidió que le diera un esquema de color muy similar a una garza blanca (especialmente fijándome en las patas y en una mancha azul oscuro de la cabeza). El color oro tuve que ir a por uno muy específico y creo que quedó magnífico. El bastón iba ir sin tintas y solo en colores claros con barniz gloss pero me pidió que fuera igual a otras partes de la miniatura así que recurrí a la tinta para que se pareciera. En las patas, en la quitina tuve que hacer un degradado (que por desgracia no se ve bien en las fotos) de color carne a marrón y luego a púrpura. Por el resto ya eran cosas mas normales de una miniatura, mucho azul y turquesa cosa que me gusto, no son colores que pueda usar lo suficiente a pesar de que me gustan bastante.

Quite the challenge! The skin didn't turn out perfect but the rest I really did like how it turned out. He asked me to paint it in a similar way to a white heron (putting special attention to the legs and the white spot on the head). The gold had to be very specific but it turned out magnificent. The cane was going to be just color and no ink in bright colors so it looks like crystal but he asked me it to look like the rest of the miniature so I resorted to ink to give depth and darken it. In the legs I did a feathering from skin to brown to purple (you can't see it well on pics sadly). The rest were standard faring for a miniature, lots of turquoise and blue wich I like, they are colors I don't use a lot even If I like them a lot.

No hay mucho que decir, veladuras en la capa y pude practicar algo de OSL en ciertas partes que aunque las fotos no le hacen nada de justicia, me sirvió como entrenamiento y me salió bastante bien. Un poco soso de color pero claro, es así en Workshop (y tiene sentido, su armadura sería horrible en la mayoría de colores y no pegaría con la idea de la miniatura).

Not a lot to say, feathering on the cloak and could try a bit of OSL in some parts although pics don't do it justice, it served as good training and looks quite good. A bit lacking in color but hey, that's how Workshop did it (and makes sense, his armor would look horrid in most colors and wouldn't go with the feel of the miniature).

Así que muy contento con mis dos primeros trabajos, al principio antes de empezar estaba increíblemente nervioso, constantemente preguntándome si sería capaz o si saldría bien, pero una vez pase de la piel de la primera figura ya me volvió la confianza y me gustó lo que hice y tras ver la cara del cliente creo que a el también le gusta mucho y eso es una parte importante, la verdad ver la satisfacción del que me lo ha pedido en persona da un subidón de orgullo, felicidad y confianza en mis habilidades.

So I'm really happy with my first two jobs, I was really nervous before starting, asking myself If I would be capable, if it would turn out correctly but as I finished the skin on the first mini my confidence came back and I liked what I did and seeing the face of the client I think he really likes them too and that's really important, truth be told seeing the satisfaction of the person who asked me to do them live gives a lot of pride, happiness and confidence on my skills.

Bel'Kiel, the Unfaithful one

Bel'Kiel es un Capellán de los Salamandras afamado por tomar decisiones extremas que a veces no resuenan con la ideología del Capítulo lo cual le consiguió el título del "Unfaithful". Es alguien pragmático, que pone la misión ante todo y aunque también como el resto de sus hermanos pone las vidas civiles lo primero, no es la primera vez que incumple esa norma por acabar la misión.

Bel'Kiel is a Salamander Chaplain famous for taking rash decisions wich sometimes doesn't go according to the Chapter ideology wich earned him the title of "Unfaithful". It's someone pragmatic, wich puts the mission first and even though values and puts civil lives first, it's not the first time he breaks the rule to finish a mission.

Tras unos cuantos errores de este tipo se le asignó una nueva tarea mas apropiada: encargarse de misiones en las que se necesite mas subterfugio, precisión y no dudar nunca en que el objetivo será lo primero. Durante sus primeras misiones trabajo solo consiguiendo bastante éxito cazando algún demonio y apoyando a la Inquisición en algún trabajo mas liviano en cuanto a bajas civiles.

After a few misshaps of this kind he was given a more appropiate task: taking on missions wich need more subterfuge, precision and having no doubts to finish the mission. In his first missions he got quite a lot of praise by hunting some daemon and supporting the Inquisition in more lenient works in the civil losses aspect.

Tras varios satisfactorios trabajos se le ofreció apoyar al "5th Anvil of Justice", una unidad nueva muy pequeña que se encarga de trabajos especializados de mucho subterfugio y en los que solo se puede ir un par de agentes. Son trabajos complicados y duros, en los que es muy fácil perecer pero que hay que llevar a cabo por el bien del Capítulo y el Imperio de la humanidad.

After a bunch of good works he was offered to support the "5th Anvil of Justice", a new small unit wich takes specialiced jobs with lots of subterfuge and in wich only a few agents can go. They are hard and complicated jobs, in wich is easy to perish but they're needed for the good of the Chapter and the Imperium of mankind.

Los miembros de esta unidad son muy estrictos en cuanto a bajas civiles con lo cual a veces tienen un poco de roce en las misiones pero el respeto que hay entre la unidad y Bel'Kiel es suficientemente grande como para que el respete las decisiones el líder de la unidad. Con ellos espera tener un buen futuro y quizá incluso cambiar el tinte tétrico de su título a uno mas positivo acorde a sus acciones.

Members in this unit are really strict about civil losses wich sometimes makes it difficult in missions but the respect between the unit and Bel'Kiel is big enough that he can respect the decisions of the unit's leader. With them he expects to have a great future and even maybe change the grim undertones of his title to a more positive more in line with his actions.

Partida de prueba: In the Emperor's Name

Hey there guys!

Pues el viernes pasado probé In the Emperor's Name en Draco y la verdad es un juego bastante curioso. Es una especie de Inquisimunda / juego de bandas de 40k con un sistema simplificado de juego y de creación de bandas.

So this last friday I tried In the Emperor's Name in Draco and to be honest it's a good game. It's a kinda Inquisimunda / warband game in the 40k universe with a simplified game and warband creation system.

Jugamos una partida solamente, de un Ultramarine con unos contratistas Imperiales contra unos Imperiales y su Comisario y Capitán. La misión consistió en recuperar una fuente de datos y huir.

We played one game, me with a Ultramarine accompanied by Imperial contratist and my oponent some Imperials with their Commisar and Captain. The mission consisted on getting a data computer and flee the map.

He de decir que encuentro que las listas pre hechas son un poco meh ya que ambos seguimos las estadísticas que venían y el Marine es peor que un capitán humano pero bueno, como trae reglas para poner las stats que cada uno quiera a sus miniaturas eso podría solucionarse.

I've gotta say I find the pre-made rosters quite meh since we both followed the recommended stats and the Space Marine is worse than a human captain but oh well, since it has custom stat rules we can change that.

Muy divertida la partida y por lo que me comentó mi oponente se puede mezclar fácilmente el sistema con sus derivados para dar mas variedad y coherencia (aunque a veces habrá que hacer ajustes debido a que este es con D6 y los derivados con D10).

Really fun game and my opponent told me you could mix the system with the derivatives to give more variety and coherence (although some adjustment is needed since this one plays with D6 and the other one with D10).

Perdí debido a que poco a poco perdí unidades debido a muy malas tiradas (y mi lanzallamas no pudo llegar a hacer nada, debo cogerles la mejora que hace que no pese el arma pesada y así poder caminar en el mismo turno). Las granadas aunque fallaron por tirada parecen ser extremadamente útiles aquí. Al final cuando solo quedaba un soldado decidí que se dejaba capturar, me parecía lo mas lógico y veía estúpido continuar un soldado contra cuatro cuando mi oponente ya se llevaba la fuente de datos.

I lost due since I lost steadily soldiers due to bad throws (and my flamethrower could not do anything, I really need the holster upgrade so they can walk on the same turn). Grenades, although failed a lot were quite useful. In the end when I was one soldier left I decided he let himself be captured, it was the most logic approach since a soldier against four and his commisar wich had the data computer it was dumb to continue.

Como sabéis es una Falconeer del Clan Jade Falcon, una luchadora nata y gran mechwarrior que deja en evidencia a mas de un soldado.

As you know she's a Falconeer from Clan Jade Falcon, a good fighter and better mechwarrior wich leaves lots of soldiers overrun with her skill:

 Un gran personaje de Battletech del que merece la pena leer bastante.

A great Battletech character wich is worth reading about.

Y por ultimo dejo al otro mech que quedaba. Como notareis no tengo muchas ganas de escribir sobre ellos, ya los hice hace tiempo y últimamente no estoy muy bien de salud con lo cual no tengo realmente ganas de escribir mucho en el blog, pero quería dejarlos para que se vieran un poco:

And as last I'll leave the other mech. As you probably noticed I'm not really on the mood to write about them, I've done them long ago and lately I'm not in the best health conditions so I don't really want to write much on the blog, but I wanted to at least show them:

Y eso es todo de esa estrella. Por fin enseñé todo que ya era hora. No se que sera lo próximo que subiré ya que hice varias cosas pero no se de cual hablaré primero. En fin, espero que os gustaran aun si no escribí mucho sobre ellas.

And that's the star. I finally showed everything (about time really). I don't know what'll be the next thing I write about since I've done a few things but I dunno wich I'll talk about. I hope you liked them even if I didn't write that much.
