Mas cosas de 15mm FUBAR

Pues tras unas semanas al fin llegó todo lo que había pedido para terminar mi ejército de 15mm para FUBAR.

So after a few weeks everything I ordered finally got here to finish my 15mm FUBAR army.

Lo primero que os voy enseñar es el BTR-80 de Zvezda 1/100, es un kit barato y bastante simple pero da el pego:

First up the Zvezda BTR-80,a  cheap simple kit but cool enough for the army:

La caja es muy pequeña ya que el modelo es pequeño.  Las piezas son mínimas:

The box is really small since the model is small. Minimal parts for it too:

Las instrucciones vienen en ruso e inglés, la tarjeta es para un juego que ha hecho Zvezda para esta gama de modelos y las pegatinas que se ven simplemente son números en blanco (que me serán útiles para el ejército). Como no me gusta que el BTR tenga las ventanas frontales cerradas se las taladré e hice unas ventanas propias:

The instructions are both in russian and english, the card is for a Zvezda game that they made for their models and the decals are simply white numbers (wich will be useful for the army). As I don't like the BTR with closed frontal hatches I cut them and made some custom ones:

Y por último voy poner una foto con todo lo que pedí a Khurasan junto al BTR ya imprimado.

Son unas cuantas cosas al final. Como siempre la calidad de Khurasan es indudable y perfecta casi, he de decir que las partes de resina de los vehículos (el T-90 y el BMP-1) tienen algo de rebabas y restos pero se quitan con una cuchilla cualquiera. Aparte de los soldados y vehículos pedí la figura de Gordon Freeman y la de Lara Croft y un paquete de objetos de escenografía para completar un proyecto que tengo entre manos que publicaré cuando termine.

They're a few things in the end. As always Khurasan's quality is perfect and undoubtful, I have to say that some of the resin parts from the vehicles have some flash (both the T-90 and BMP-1) but they are easy to fix with a hobby knife. I got the soldiers, vehicles and the Lara Croft and Gordon Freeman minis and a small pack with terrain pieces for a project I have on my hands wich I'll publish once I 
finish it.

Esto es todo por ahora, espero que pronto pueda poner las minis ya terminadas y pintadas.

PT-76 ruso para FUBAR

Últimamente no estoy pudiendo hacer nada ya que no me llegan unos paquetes con cosas y de escenografía avanzo poco porque tengo pocas ideas últimamente pero hoy me llego una de las cosas que pedí así que voy enseñar algo por actualizar y para saber como andan las cosas.

Lately I haven't been doing anything since what I ordered hasn't arrived and on the scenery department I'm kinda out of ideas but today one of the orders arrived so for the sake of updates I will show it.

Pedí por ebay un tanque PT-76 soviético de la gama Iraní de Team Yankee (el juego de la tercera guerra mundial ficticia de Battlefront, creadores de Flames of War). No es el tanque que mas me guste pero como era barato y los vehículos de mi facción en su mayoría serán rusos considere que sería apropiado (y barato, eso fue lo mas importante).

I ordered on Ebay a soviet PT-76 from the Team Yankee's Iranian army (the ficticious third world war from Battlefront, creators of Flames of War). It's not my favorite tank but since it was cheap and most of my faction's vehicles are russian I considered it appropiate (and cheap, that's the most important aspect).

Como venía en blíster y hace años que no tengo nada así le saqué fotos al propio blíster:

Since it came in blister and I didn't have any model on blister since a few years ago I took some pictures of the blister:

El blíster es pequeño, bien embalado y esta protegido, viene bastante bien. Por detrás vienen las facciones a las que pertenece y su rareza y mas importante, el código para la página con tutorial de pintura y montaje (aunque en este caso no se si por nuevo o por raro o porque la guía simplemente daba información sobre el vehículo en si, nada mas).

A small, well packaged and protected blister, really good quality. In the back it tells what factions can use it and it's availability and more important, the code to look on the web a paint and assembly guides (although in this case I don't know if it's new or rare because the guide was simple a lot of fluff of the vechicle, nothing more).

El kit es fácil de montar, viene en varias partes; el chasis y cuerpo principal, las dos cadenas, el cañón, la ametralladora, el capitán, la escotilla y unas partes que no se para que son y no encajan en ningún sitio particular.

The kit is simple to assemble, comes in separate parts: chassis and main body, both chains, the main gun, the machine gun, the captain, the escape hatch and some parts wich I ignore the use of since they don't appear to go anywhere.

Su montaje es extremadamente simple aunque no veo sitio para el comandante (mejor ya que se le ve diferente a las tropas que voy tener). Estas son las piezas y como queda montado:

The assembly is easy although I can't see where the commander goes (better for me since it looks too different to what my troops will look like). This are the pieces and how it looks finished:

Es un kit bonito, bien detallado y simple, la verdad tengo ganas de pintarlo a ver que tal queda en el esquema de mis Humvees. Por último una foto de como queda junto a uno de los Humvees y un soldado de escala 15mm:

A good looking, well detailed and simple kit, I really am eager to paint it and look how it looks in my Humvees scheme. For last, a pic comparing it with my Humvee and a 15mm soldier:

Es convincente y es suficientemente grande y si esta correcto la verdad es que el Sherman que trajo mi amigo para probar FUBAR es minúsculo en comparación con el PT-76, quizá los tanques y vehículos en general de la época eran mucho mas pequeños.

Really convincing and big enough and if it's correct the Shermans my friend brought to try FUBAR is minuscule compared to the PT-76, maybe the tanks and vehicles in general of that era were much smaller.

En fin, eso es todo por el momento, para la próxima seguramente vendrá ya pintado y unas piezas simples de escenografía.

FUBAR, Humvees y un artefacto nuclear

Y ya estamos aquí de nuevo.

And here we are again.

Hace una semana o dos probé el sistema FUBAR con un amigo. Es un sistema de reglas con diversas variantes pero todas tienen algo en común; que son gratis y ocupan una página nada mas y para ser tan breve es un sistema muy bueno, escalable, sencillo y muy fácil de añadir reglas (al final del post dejare un link a las reglas). Nosotros estamos usando el básico que tiene reglas para conflictos modernos.

A week or two ago I tried FUBAR system with a friend. It's a rule system with diverse variants but they all have something in common; that they are free and they are one page long only and even if they are so brief they are good, scalable, simple and easy to make rules on the fly (will leave a link on the end of the rules). We are trying te basic wich has rules for modern combat.

Como empezamos a probarlo repinté los Humvees de 15mm que había comprado y había despintado porque no me convencía el color así que puse unos colores que me parecen mucho mas agradables y que cuelan tanto en terreno verde como desierto.

As we started playing I repainted the 15mm Humvees that I bought and stripped since I didn't like so much the color and I painted the in more sensible and nicer colors and the scheme works both for desert and woodlands.

También aproveche y cambie la iconografía a la de Foxhound de Metal Gear Solid ya que imprimiré unos cuantos personajes de la saga y los usaré de personajes únicos y capitanes. Como veis simplemente tiene unos colores mas realistas, claros y los efectos de desgaste son mucho mas creíbles. También les añadí diversos detalles que ya les había hecho de aquellas en masilla verde y a uno le añadí latas de gasolina en un lateral que quedan mucho mejor.

I also changed the iconography to Foxhound's from Metal Gear Solid since I will print some characters from the saga and will use them for unique models and captains. As you see it has more real colors, lighter and the paint chip effects are more beliable. I also added diverse detail that I did back then on green stuff but I also added some gas tanks in the side of one making it look better.

También hice un objetivo para misiones diversas que está basado en los artefactos nucleares de MGSV:

I also made a objective for diverse missions based on the nuclear artifacts from MGSV:

Al hacer un ejército basado en la saga me parecía lógico hacer una bomba nuclear como objetivo por eso de sus mensajes anti-nucleares y demás.

Since my army will be based on the saga It made sense to make a nuclear bomb as objective because of the anti-nuclear sense of the games.

Todo hecho de cero aprovechando trozos de cartón, estireno, la base del Tiránido jefe que use para la escenografía y un tubo de papel de cocina. Se asemeja bastante y es enorme comparado con los soldados de 15mm con lo que aunque parece un tanque de combustible al ser tan enorme cuela igual como un explosivo militar tan peligroso.

Made from scratch with cardboard, styrene, the hive tyrant base and a roll of paper. Looks similar enough and it's gigantic near 15mm soldiers so even if it looks more like a gas tank it still feels as a bomb.

Y la verdad esto es todo por el momento, tengo un pedido de vehículos y soldados a Khurasan que ya vendrá, estoy haciendo una pieza de terreno muy interesante poco a poco y tengo en Shapeways unos cuantos personajes de MGS y unos rehenes para usar como objetivo de misiones pero de momento eso no vendrá (a menos que me toque el premio en el concurso navideño que están haciendo).

And that's it for the moment, I've got an order placed for vehicles and infantry to Khurasan, I'm making a big terrain piece little by little and I've got on Shapeways some of the MGS characters and some hostages for objectives but for the moment it will not be orded (unless Im lucky and get the prize of the Christmas giveaway).
