Hace poco Joseph McCullough creó un pequeño Wargame con intención de recaudar dinero para ayudar a los mas desafortunados, el wargame se llama 'Operation Last Train' y básicamente trata de un planeta infestado de alienígenas y los humanos en órbita descubren que hay supervivientes y deciden enviar cien voluntarios a salvarlos.
A while ago Joseph McCullough made a small wargame with the intention to get donations to the people who need it, the wargame is none other than 'Operation Last Train' and it's basically a game in wich a planet gets invaded bu aliens and the humans on orbit find survivors on the surface and decide to get a hundred volunteers to save them.
Es un juego cooperativo/solo, gratuíto y simple, que nos pide que donemos algo de dinero por bajarlo y otro poco por salvar a los supervivientes. El juego tiene una mecánica súper simple en la que diseñamos cien supervivientes y en cada escenario (o drop) enviamos hasta seis voluntarios a hacerla.
It's a co-op/solo, free and simple game wich asks us to donate a bit of money for the download and another bit for each survivor we rescue. The game has super simple mechanics to create our volunteers and in each scenario (or drop) we can carry six of them.
Tiene mecanicas simples para los monstruos (básicamente las de Frostgrave) y los monstruos no atacan en sí: si llegan a cuerpo a cuerpo es el jugador quien tira, si su voluntario falla recibe daño (cayendo al suelo o muriendo) y si acierta pues los puede tirar al suelo o matarlos (dependiendo de si es par o impar).
Monsters have simple rules (basically the same as in Frostgrave) and the monsters don't attack by themselves: if they get to close combat it's the player who rolls, if his volunteer fails it receives damage (either knock down or death) and if he hits you can also knock them or kill them (depending on the dice result).
También hay unas tarjetas que ayudan al jugador dando efectos como disparar dos veces, o que en vez de knock down sea muerte o cosas mas positivas como evitar muerte, moverse dos veces etc.
There are also some cards that give the player new effects like shooting twice, or killing if you get a knock down on the enemy or more positive stuff like avoiding death, moving twice etc.

All this said let's start the report:
La misión consiste en acudir a una granja y salvar a los múltiples supervivientes que están trabajando allí. La zona tiene un montón de agujeros en el suelo por los que están llegando los insectos a las tierras para acabar con los civiles.
The mission consists on going to a farming complex and saving the multiple survivors that are working there. The area have a lot of bug burrows in the ground where the insects come from to the zone to feed on the civilians.
La misión comenzó bastante bien, acabamos rápido con los insectos y los que aparecieron al final de cada turno fue cerca de nosotros y pudimos acabar con la amenaza rápido. Avanzamos lentamente pero con paso firme.
The mission started quite well, we've finished up the insects and those who appeared from the burroughs appeared close and we could finish them off soon enough. We advanced slowly but firmly.
Tras un par de turnos comenzamos a llegar a los edificios y sacamos a los civiles al exterior. Llegamos a encontrar quince de ellos y por mala suerte antes de poder huir nos salieron muchos por la zona. Por suerte nos pudimos encargar de ellos pero nos dieron un par de sustos y tuvimos que gastar las tarjetas de héroe que nos permitieron salvar a un par de voluntarios.
After a few turns we started to get to the buildings and took the civilians out. We found fifteen of them in the end and unfortunately before being able to turn back we had a lot of bugs appear on the zone. We managed to take care of them but we had a few scares, almost losing some volunteers if not for the cards wich let us keep them.
Una vez sacados tratamos de llamar a la nave y empezó el retroceso a una zona mas a salvo en la que llevarla. Por circunstancias de donde se situaron los bichos tuvimos que dejar a un civil atrás, nos planteamos llevar al médico a por el (que iba solo) pero como teníamos poco tiempo lo dejamos de lado.
After getting them out of ther we tried to call the dropship and started the retreat to the most safe zone of the table. By the circunstances I mentioned we had to leave of the survivors back; we thought on sending the medic to get him (since he didn't have survivors attached) but since we had little time we left him.
El civil logró matar por suerte el primer bicho que le atacó pero el segundo acabo con el, como era de esperar de un civil a solas.
The civilian managed to kill the first bug that attacked him but the second one killed him, not that werid being alone.
Al fin conseguimos que llegara la nave (con su consecuente aumento de insectos). En dos turnos llegamos casi todos a dentro gracias a que por fortuna casi todos los bichos salieron en el otro extremo del tablero.
We finally called the ship (with the consequent wave of bugs). In two turns we got almost everyone in the ship because lady luck made all the bugs that appeared be on the other side of the table.
Y este fue el momento final de la partida: catorce supervivientes, un civil muerto y todos los voluntarios vivos, un buen resultado a pesar de todo.
And this was the end moment of the game: fourteen survivors, a dead civilian, all volunteers alive and a good result after all.
Quedamos contentos con la partida y una vez consiga hacer el terreno necesario, jugaremos el segundo lo mas pronto posible.
We were happy with the game and once I make the terrain for the next drop we'll play it as soon as possible.
Yo de momento no he podido donar, pero pretendo hacerlo en cuanto me sea posible, es una buena idea y siempre esta bien apoyar buenas causas.

El juego se adapta bien a la micro escala: con usar un tablero pequeño y pasarse a centímetros ya tienes el trabajo solucionado.
The game adapts well to micro scales: just use a small table and use centimeters instead of inches and it's done.
