W.I.P. Diamond Dogs Humvee y aprendiendo a usar pigmentos

No quería desvelar nada del ejército de FoF aún pero como he probado técnicas he decidido enseñarlas antes.

I didn't want to unveil anything from the FoF army but as I tried some techniques I wanted to show one earlier.

Os traigo los Humvees que voy a usar en el ejército de Diamond Dogs (si, MGSV y que hype a menos de una semana ya de que salga) que mayormente modifiqué un poco y pinte con un camuflaje básico.

I bring to you the Humvees I will use for the Diamond Dogs (yeah, MGSV and so much hype less than a week for it to come out) that I modified slightly and painted with a simple camo.

Antes de que se me olvide son de Khurasan de el rango 15mm de americanos modernos, es la versión con CROWS. Le hice mi propia torreta, el equipaje y la antena.

Before I forget they're from Khurasan's modern army 15mm range, CROWS version. Made my own turret, luggage and the antennae.

Bien pues he comprado pigmentos, es un polvo que se usan para crear desde óxido y hollín hasta polvo, barro y lineas de lluvia aunque también se usan en pintura y en otras artes.

So I tried pigments, a dust that is used to make from oxide and smoke dust to desert dust, mud and rain drips although they are used in paintings and another arts.

Leí que hay gente que hacen los suyos propios con pinturas pastel sólidas puliéndolas y rompiéndolas o con tizas, pero como aun no sé hacer nada con ellos prefiero uno profesional ya hecho para mis necesidades.

I've read that some people made their own with pastel bars converting them to powder or chalk but as I don't know how to make nothing with them I prefer to use profesional pigments first made specifically for my needs.

He de decir que primero lo probé en una miniatura de 6mm (un T-72 que enseñaré al final) y varios métodos de fijación. El primero fue acetona pura para uñas y lo fijo bien pero en un sitio que pase varias veces el pincel disolvió la pintura lo cual es un problema pero la ventaja es que lo fijo muy bien, no se mueve y no cambio el color ni espesor. Después probé con alcohol medicinal que lo recomendaba un chico y aunque conservó el color lo apelmazó como si de barro se tratara lo cuál podría ser bueno en algún momento pero no en este que quería polvo de arena (aparte de que el barro debe verse algo mas húmedo y mas cuando los modelos se usan para momentos en los que están en acción) y el útimo sistema fue acetona con algo de agua lo cual funcionó a las mil maravillas en el tanque pero no en el coche porque sin querer eché algo de mas de agua y movió el pigmento como si de tinta se tratara. Sin más, dejo las fotos:

I tried them first in a 6mm mini (a T-72 that I'll show on the end of the post) and some fixing methods. The first was a nail solvent and it fixed it pretty good but in a part that I went with the brush more than once the varnish and paint dissolved wich is a problem but the advantage is that it was thoroughly fixed, doesn't move and didn't change the color or amount. Then I tried medicinal alcohol wich a bud recommended and It didn't change the color when dry but it made it became like mud wich isn't good for my purposes and mud don't look like that and the last method was the nail solvent mixed with some droplets of water wich worked fantastic in the tank but not in the Humvee because I mixed too much water by mistake and the pigment acted like washes from GW. Para ser el primer intento no es un acabado tan malo pero como dije necesito práctica con la mezcla fijadora, necesito aprender a aplicarlo y difuminarlo mejor y llegué a la conclusion de que ese camuflaje hace que no se vea tanto el trabajo asé que los Humvees como ya los pinte los dejaré asi pero los próximos vehículos serán solo verdes.

For being my first try it isn't so bad but as said I need practice with the fixing solution, I need to aply and extend it best and I came to the conclusion that this camo makes it almost unnoticeable so the Humvees will have it but the next vehicles will be only green or other simple camo.

También decir que este va a llevar una bandera con el logo de Diamond Dogs y que les faltan pegatinas (ya pedí el papel así que no tardaré mucho en hacer el post definitivo de los tres) y ultimar algún detallito que se me pasara por largo. Me gusta como quedaron los cristales con solo grises y negro.

Have to say that this one in particula will be carrying a Diamond Dog's flag and that they need stickers (already bought the paper and it's coming so post soon) and make last adjustments. I like how the  windshields came out with only greys and black.

Por último dejo una foto con el T-72 y los dos Humvees lado a lado para compararlos y decir que me llegaron los soldados del ejército (24 para ser exactos y variados) y este fue una buena practica ya que les manchare los pantalones y botas (y a alguno el arma) de este método para que queden mas completos.

Lastly, a pic with the T-72 and both Humvees side to side to compare and I've got to say that the army soldiers arrived (24 to be exact and varied poses) and It was a good practice as I wan't tp use this system to make dust for their pants and some weapons to make them more appealing.
